About us.

Techo is a capital provider to real estate developers focused on creating or preserving Attainable Housing. We are a team of developers, entrepreneurs and investors with decades of experience investing and operating institutional real estate platforms. We understand and appreciate the journey. Techo’s funding programs are flexible and competitive solutions that enable mission-aligned developers to address the persistent undersupply of Attainable Housing.

Investing with a purpose.

Attainable Housing is unsubsidized, profitable developments that service families earning 80 - 120% of the area median income. According to the Urban Land Institute, attainably priced homes represent the largest segment of undersupply in the U.S. housing market. Attainable Housing may be for rent or for sale, but the common thread is high quality projects that deliver affordable price points.

We believe that accessible, high quality housing is transformative for families and the surrounding communities. Through the support of mission-aligned developers and builders, we are executing on strategies that are proven to increase the availability of Attainable Housing.

Areas of focus:

  • Class B & C Multifamily Renovation

  • Construction of Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs)

  • Build-to-Rent Communities

  • Entry-level, build to sell communities

  • Adaptive reuse & Hotel renovation

  • Process & Materials innovation that reduces construction costs (e.g. modular, mass timber)
